OM JIP

Offshore maintenance JIP

Publieke samenvatting / Public summary

The purpose of the Offshore Maintenance (OM) JIP is to better quantify O&M operability and additional maintenance costs by taking into account hydrodynamics and realistic operating limits (for people and equipment) in the existing ECN O&M cost models. The knowledge and model can then be used to arrive at the most effective logistical scenario for every type of maintenance. The research is being conducted in close collaboration with the Carbon Trust from the United Kingdom, which represents the majority of the major energy companies in Europe operating in the offshore wind. The project started in 2015.

The project has been continued in Offshore Wind JIP II
