Aanleiding
In this project a new lightweight BIPV system for pitched roofs will be developed.
Doelstelling
The new BIPV system will be based on a frameless PV building element and an innovative mounting concept.
Korte omschrijving
The aesthetic aspects of the system are key: full visual filling of the available roof area. The new PV roof tile element will allow a systematic, yet flexible, approach for dealing with inconsistent roof dimensions and obstacles. The lightweight aspect is key because of low cost, easy handling, and often restricted load on a roof. The development project includes fieldtesting of the system, quality testing of the components and development of a techno-financial model, aimed at the building industry, house owners including “woning corporaties”, and investors.
Resultaat
The new “glass roof” system will be perfectly suitable for both renovation projects and new house building projects.
