FOWT IO&M
Floating wind transportation, installation & access
Publieke samenvatting / Public summary
Aanleiding
Floating offshore wind turbines (FOWT) are maturing and they are increasingly becoming a viable and attractive solution for offshore wind energy production. Installation, operations and maintenance (IO&M) are a substantial financial factor of the development of offshore wind turbines. Although FOWT might not be currently installed in the Dutch North Sea due to the shallow water, the present research is relevant for the Dutch industry because of its strong role in the future offshore wind park developments.
Korte omschrijving
The project addresses transportation (transportability), installation (installability) and O&M of FOWT. The project conducts literature survey, stakeholder interaction, quantitative analysis and dissemination of our methodology and findings to the industry. The evaluation consists of time and yield based analyses.
